“When can I sign up for next year? I really don't have the words to express how much fun I had.
I love learning new things and meeting new friends.”
“I found the entire weekend so encouraging, and enjoyed the sessions as well as making some wonderful "harp" friends. It was a terrific learning experience for me personally - very rewarding. Also, the good news is that
I live only 10 hours away, a much shorter drive than we originally anticipated…”
“My favorite workshop was Saturday night when everybody played what they learned and played together. It was inspiring and it boosted my confidence,”
The Harpers' Escape is produced by You Gotta Have Harp Productions, 11 Country Lane, Voorhees, NJ 08043. Phone: 856-795-7637.
Sign-up and Registration
Now Taking 2008 Registrations
The Early Bird Gets…To Attend: The nice thing about the Harpers Escape is its intimate setting and the personal attention
we can give our attendees because seating is limited. We have small classes.
Last year, by August 30 we were completely booked. Although we are in a bigger conference space this year, we still plan to limit enrollment.
Returning alumni comprise about two-thirds of the attendees so don’t hesitate to sign-up. A lucky few on our waiting list sometimes get in after late cancellations--but don't count on that!

Class levels
Class Selection:
We provide these guidelines about the playing levels. Anyone can switch classes at the first morning break if the one you chose is too fast or slow.
Our beginner class cannot accept anyone who has never touched a harp before. So if you've just gotten your harp, please wait until next year to attend.
Advanced harp class
with Gráinne Hambly or William Jackson: 5 years experience and learn most of your repertoire by ear.
Intermediate harp class
with Kathy DeAngelo or Sharon Knowles: at least 3 years experience.
Beginning harp class
with Debbie Brewin-Wilson. 1 or 2 years of experience & very shy about playing.
Age Restrictions
Although we recognize that many youngsters could undoubtedly handle the workshop material we present at the Harpers Escape,
our primary goal is to provide adults with a weekend to get away from their usual routines to focus on their passion to play the harp without their usual distractions.
Therefore, we do not have children under 12 at the Harpers Escape. Children 12-16 years old must be accompanied by a parent unless you've talked to Kathy (856-795-7637).
Youngsters who would like a harp camp experience are encouraged to sign-up for the You Gotta Have Harp Summer Camp, June 22-27 in Burlington NJ, where Kathy teaches the Celtic harp track.
Any Questions? If you would like additional information before registering for the Harpers' Escape,
